My rendition of a Mucha masterpiece created using prismacolor markers:
And now for a mini art history lesson and a look at the real deal:
Alphonse Mucha, born in 1860, created paintings, posters, advertisements, and book illustrations, as well as designs for jewellery, carpets, wallpaper, and theatre sets as part of the Art Nouveau movement (although he tried to distance himself from the movement). He is an obvious favorite of mine, and many other artists. I am sure you have seen all kinds of imitations and copies of his art (like mine- ha!) and/or work directly influenced by him.
